Unknown to them, Thul, an important trade negotiator for Coruscant, holds the key to a secret coalition gaining power in the New Republic. And everyone is looking for him—New Republic Security Forces, ex-smugglers and bounty hunters.
Han and Chewbacca break from the search to help the efforts on Yavin 4, and Jacen and Jaina set off for the ruins of Alderaan, determined to salvage a piece of the shattered planet as a gift for their mother. But amid the ghosts of a dead world, the twins encounter a deadly surprise: Boba Fett, a long-vanished enemy of the Solo family, has resurfaced, intent on using them to lead him to Bornan Thul.
